Casanova was shaved yesterday. I took him in at 12:30pm and by 5:30 he was done. Yeah.... "HE" was done, not the groomer. He is always the sweetest dog ever. And, the whole grooming department at Petsmart just adored him. But, he is not exactlt cooperative. He refused to stand up or sit any more. Cayn you blame him, though. He is practically a 12 year old arthritic newfoundland.
So I had to take him back in today at 9 am so the groomer could finish him up. In all, it took 9 hours to groom Cass. That included a shave, ears cleaned, nails grinded, bath, brush, and trim. Wow! I don't think it is in Petsmart's financial best interest to groom a newfie!
They do such a great job with him though ever time I take Cass. I give it up to the groomer girls.. "Woot! Woot!"
So Cass spent the night in the house last night. It was so nice. He wasn't begging to go out. Sure, it was because it was absolutely freezing out. But, the point is he was happy to be in. No 15 pound fur coat will make a big difference in this weather. He better get use to it too. Because he will remain a shaved geriatric newfie from this point on....
So in light of his lack of fur, I got him a sweater and a coat. They are too cute! And they keep him from shivering while at the same time keeping the heat close to his huge body.
